It's incredible to see how vibrant colors can be naturally occurring, especially in woods that typically are envisioned as simple browns or tans like what you see in the hardware stores. I wanted to showcase these colors, but needed to figure out a way to make them more dynamic to look at than just a simple color on the blade.
One of my favorite movies from back in the day was the old Robin Hood with Errol Flynn! The handle designs remind me of the fletching on arrows, so it just made sense to name it... The Flynn!
