Thuya Burl handles with Sugar Maple blades.
The Marvin is made from Sugar Maple and an incredibly beautiful wood from the Atlas Mountain region, primarily Morocco called Thuya Burl. In antiquity, the Ancient Greeks valued this wood so much that they named it Thuya, meaning 'sacrifice'. They would actually distill the sweet smelling oils from the wood to use in their religious ceremonies.
Each piece is hand crafted, hand sanded up to a fine finish, and coated with a blend of beeswax and orange oil to protect and bring out the NATURAL beauty of the wood.
